Hawkstone Park

Back in October 2011 we walked around the park as part of a sponsored walk for Severn Hospice.

August Bank Holiday weekend 2013 and a special event around Robin Hood, was a good excuse to go back for another stroll.  Even without the archery, cooking and weapons demonstrations there is plenty to see.  Dogs can come (on the lead) and kids don’t complain about being out walking all day as the terrain is so quirky. The caves at the far end are a firm favorite and a torch is optional.

The only thing I would say against the place is the lack of bins and loos. Still, despite this there was very little litter around but we did stumble across two separate occasions of ‘small child needs the loo!’

Below, enjoy a few more snaps of the almost magical quirkiness.
